And we're here at Vikings SM Jazz Mall in the heart of Makati, yes we have all heard it, Vikings is now the best and fastest growing international buffet chain in the country today, and yes it is indeed a fact!

Vikings recently opened in two locations, one of which is the SM BF Paranaque branch and another in SM Jazz Mall in Makati, both of which are astoundingly magnificent!

I have come to have a love and hate relationship with Vikings, not because they are not the way I would hope them to be, but because of how perfectly they have executed in every detail possible to see perfection in every way,  so let me share to you how this came to be...

Our friend invited us to head over to UP Town Center for a dinner get together, since I don't frequent that side of the metro (I'm from Ongpin, quite far ey..), I said sure!  I have heard so many great restaurants that opened in UP Town Center, and it's about time we take that visit.  Our destination for the night Pinac at UP Town Center.



A good 45-minute drive from Manila, considering it's not traffic, but if you come from Quezon City, it would just be a breeze to get there, considering there's no major traffic situation there as well.  It is situated in UP Town Center, along Katipunan Avenue, in Loyola Heights, Quezon City, just a stone's throw away from Miriam and Ateneo, and of course U.P.

Pinac features Capampangan cuisine with a twist, as they say Pampanga is known as the culinary capital of the Philippines, though the Ilocanos and Bicolanos may disagree, haha but true to say, much of our chefs in the metro, trace their roots from Pampanga.  With such classics like sisig, pancit luglug, tocino and more, you would get to experience true Capampangan flavor with a bite at Pinac.

Oh I just love the movies, just thinking about the much anticipated movies in line for the rest of the year and of course next year's line-up gives me goosebumps, but every time I go out to see a movie, it just depresses me to see the same old flavored popcorn, boring sodas and tasteless hotdogs being sold at the food stand, oh it just spoils the fun in watching movies, wouldn't you agree??

But recently I was able to watch a movie at the new Promenade in Greenhills, and what caught my eye was this gourmet place just beside the movie entrance, it's Munchtown!  Hmmm, looks interesting, let us take a look a what they have to offer.

What is a Gyoza? Well for those who have yet to encounter gyoza, which is highly unlikely, unless you have been sleeping all through these years.  Gyoza is a Japanese name for dumplings, which originated from China which is why they are quite similar with the Chinese dumplings.  

Difference between a gyoza and dumpling?  Dumplings are either fried or steamed, while gyoza are steamed first then pan fried to give that crisp crust on one side everytime you munch on it.
