My mouth-watering burger from HOTSHOTS!!!

Recently I won a GC from a promo from http://hitabargain.com/, and it was for a free burger and drink meal at HOTSHOTS flame-grilled burgers.  Actually, I always pass by this place but never really dropped by since I never really had the chance since we are always busy with our engagements.

So this time I was obligated hah... to visit this particular branch at Tomas Morato.  I was handed my GC and upon looking at their menu, looks yummy indeed.

My GC gave me a choice of 11 burger sandwiches, all of them look sinfully delicious... why sinfully?? Hmmm, quarter pound burger patty, loads of cheese and even though it's flame-grilled it does still have the juices from beef which I call cholesterol.  But how can I resist such, arrrggghhhh.

After a look at their menu.... one did caught my eye
I love quarter pound patties, mushrooms, crispy bacon bits, mayo and lots of cheese sauce!!!

So I gave in to my heart's desire, and used my GC for this eye candy... Crispy Burger Melt.
And after a few minutes of waiting here it is...
It was neatly wrapped with free potato chips garnished.... I did order the extra twister fries to complement my order of this wonderful burger sandwich
And wow does that look yummy....

The sight of the burger surprised me, the quarter pound patty looked small in diameter, just like any ordinary burger but the patty is thicker than the ones you see in fast food chains.  At first bite the juices started flowing out of the flame-grilled patty, it was evenly cooked, then this kicked in...  the crispy bacon bits (really crispy as in you can hear them crack on your teeth), the bits of mushroom, the soothing mayo and finally the delectable cheese sauce. Yummy! I felt like I was lifting up the ground and heading to the heavens with the monstrous bites I was taking, devouring the burger like there's no tomorrow mixing it up with chips and twister fries (tastes like the ones in your favorite fastfood chain).

And after a few minutes of hardcore action.... it was done.  All of it gone and the sad thing is I wanted more... but I had to compose myself before I regret gaining another few pounds.  I wanted to taste the other burgers and stuff such as:

There were pastas, chicken, buffalo wings, fish and chips, lots of potatoes, tacos and much much more....  I had to get myself out of there before I head once again to the counter and order again, at least I have a reason to return to this burger joint next time around.

My rating for the the Cheesy Burger Melt
Taste            - 4 stars, the burger buns should have been warmer than what was served to me, though the patty was hot, the cheesy sauce and the bacon bits complemented the tasteful burger.

Ambiance     - 3 stars, it is a fastfood burger joint, but it sure needed some maintenance work especially on the outside as the colors were starting to get worn out.

Service         - 4 stars, as this is supposed to be a self-service one, let's based it on cooking time, yes it was fast

Price            - 4 stars, I believe it is fairly priced at P175.00 as its flame-grilled with potato chip as sidings.

Overall, I would recommend this place to everyone who loves eating outdoors and would like to have food adventures, the food here is very tempting and just like me, maybe you would come back again to try out their other offerings..

A Baked Ziti to go.... from Italiani's

I recently claimed my Baked Ziti from Italianni's from their facebook promo, having had a full dinner with many orders that we were not able to finish, I decided to have it to go...

We were told to keep it chilled when we got home, and better yet to keep it frozen to retain the freshness of the Baked Ziti.

True to their advise, I took it out the next day and place it in my favorite appliance in the house, the microwave haha.... After 2 mins. of waiting forever, beep beep beep it came out smelling just perfect... the ooze scattered all over the room(must be the cheese and herbs working).  I took a slice and had a taste...ooohhhh yum.  The herbs and the cheese started to mix in my salivating tongue and it was such a pleasure to taste it, the pasta was still crisp to the bite. After 15 minutes of having war with my Baked Ziti, I finally finished it and it was really a mouth full.  I think I gained a few more pounds after that big serving.

Overall it was a very satisfying experience to the palate:
My score for this Baked Ziti from Italiani's: [out of 5(five) stars]

Taste              : 4 stars for the delicious mix of cheese, herbs
Ambiance       : 4-stars (for my dine-in experience), a great fine-dining place to spend time with friends
Service           : 5-stars service was indeed impeccable, attendants were fast and polite
Price              : 4-stars priced at around P475, this big servings can make up for the price as it can
feed 2 - 3 persons depending on appetite as well

I recommend you drop by any Italiani's Italian Restaurant near your place and have a taste of their wonderful dishes.. you will surely have a mouthful, good for family, friends, and some private time together with your loved one...

Donut of the Titans... review

Good day food lovers... let's start the ball rolling
Everyday we pass by malls looking for great food finds.... for any reason at all... may it be to satisfy our cravings, to soothe our broken hearts, to cheer us up or just food tripping..

So we buy our food hoping it would satisfy our fancy... and hunger as well... everybody has to eat, but what do we eat, what should we eat, what not to eat and last but not the least is it worth our hard earned money....

So here we go, just recently having the "CLASH OF THE TITANS" movie being a movie event of the year, KRISPY KREME launched their Donut of the Titans, as well as their Coffee of the Titans as well.

I decided to try this out as this may be a limited engagement:

It looks yummy doesn't it...
look at the big bits of CRUNCH by Nestle

The best way to eat this donut is to use your hand and take a munch right out, but if you do have a small mouth, I suggest you cut it into pieces as it may not fit.. It is not that big, although we might just knock off some Crunch bits on the way... and that would be a waste.  When you bite it you can actually feel the crispies inside the bits of Crunch scattered all over with icing around... for the sweet tooth... this would be a fantastic treat, but not for the diabetics out there...

The donut bun was full and soft, it was really delicious to eat.... but there is some kind of let down though... the price...

My rating for the Donut of the Titans: [out of 5(five) stars]
Taste                  -    3 1/2 stars
Service                -    N/A
Price                   -    2

Overall, I would tell you to buy this just out of curiosity.... or if you really must...like for your kids.  With a price tag of P 72.00, if I have remembered correctly.. It would definitely be out of the take-out box for me.. Just stick to the original glazed one and you'll never go wrong.

For my readers.. if you have some food or delicacy you would like for me to try out... please shell out your ideas and I'll try my best to give it a fair review.  For restaurant reviews... and if you want to be featured on this site, we have food group bloggers interested to cover and promote your products and give reviews as well.... just treat us to a meal.. and we would gladly oblige.

My food blog...

It's not their fault if they make good and tasty food... what hurts me most is having to eat something that I have payed for and yet did not enjoy the food... as in bland, tasteless and utter waste of time and money...

Indulge me as I show you food trippings, reviews, taste tests and let you know what your money is worth spending on....    because like you I would not like to be cheated of my money....

Hope you support and enjoy this blog... as much as I would enjoy making it fun for you as well..
