The Filipino Food Festival has arrived at Cafe Ilang-Ilang in Manila Hotel, and they are bringing back culinary sensation, the one and only Chef Dedet Santos of Pepita's Kitchen!  Three years ago I was one of the few who have experienced an epic Lechon degustacion, right at the house of Chef Dedet Santos, and not a day passes by after that I don't salivate just thinking of those mouth watering Lechons and special Pinoy dishes that Dedet has prepared for us, it was indeed an experience of a lifetime.

From June 9 to June 12 you can join by sending a photo of your favorite recipe from Breakfast Magazine’s June-July 2014 issue to info@breakfastmag.com

 

Finalists will then be announced on June 13 and their photographs will be posted on Breakfast Magazine’s Facebook page. It is then the finalists’ task to garner as much likes as they can on their respective photograph. The finalist with the most likes by June 14 would be the winner!  Just imagine how happy dad would be when he finds out you got him a lechon present!

I'm so excited and I just can't hide it... I know I know you want this, you want this!  Yes it's another year of great treat and another year of YUMMY Eats, YUMMY magazine’s most anticipated eating and cooking fair is back on its third year to give you a day of fun-filled foodie treat, it showcases upcoming food establishments and home bakers specially handpicked by YUMMY editorial team such as Mad Meats Bacon, Backyard Burger, Gawad Kalinga, and Chez Karine. Expect to see Yummy favorites like Mochiko, Pepita’s Lecon, Pino and many more!

Happening on May 18, Saturday, at the NBC Tent Bonifacio Global City from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., YUMMY Eats will definitely get your heart pounding and your stomach happy with food samples from all 50 food booths. Whether you are looking for something sweet, or savory, or just your local favorites, YUMMY Eats will surely satisfy your cravings. Not only that, there would also be a series of fun cooking demos, cook-offs and raffle draws.

There are moments in our lives, we always look upon when we say, "I have indeed lived my life."  And this is indeed one of those moments.  I have been invited to partake in a feast like no other, a feast of Lechon - Lechon Degustation at Pepita's Kitchen.

I was the second guest to arrive, together with wifey, we were amazed on how colorful and delightful the place was set up.  It was one of the homes we have dreamt of having maybe in the future.  Later on friends of our host Ms. Dedet arrived and I was surprised how star-studded that night was.
