Cucina reopens this Easter

 

‘The World’s Kitchen’ fires up its kitchens for its curated culinary theater 

Known as the season for new beginnings, Easter holds promise for better opportunities and exciting discoveries. Marco Polo Ortigas, Manila is pleased to announce that beloved restaurant Cucina will reopen this Easter starting Thursday, 14 April 2022, to welcome dining guests for breakfast, lunch and dinner.   

Recognized by guests for its high-quality dining stations, Cucina presents a curated selection of cuisines from Asia and Europe. Guests may look forward to enjoying pasta dishes, Asian traditional recipes, choice carvings, and a dedicated section of indulgent sweets when they return to the restaurant on Level 24. Cucina is designed for guests to interact with the chefs across all stations so that they may discuss how they prefer their chosen dishes. It is through this level of service that guests are engaged in what Marco Polo Ortigas, Manila calls “Culinary Theatre.” As in the hotel’s other restaurants, Cucina enforces the mandatory health and safety protocols for in-door dining and will only be able to accept fully vaccinated guests.

Beginning 1 March, graduates and their loved ones can look forward to a filling reward at Marco Polo Ortigas Manila’s all-day restaurant. Located on Level 24, Cucina treats the Class of 2020 with a complimentary meal when accompanied by four full-paying adults on their visit. To avail this promotion, the graduate must present proof of school identification or participation in their commencement ceremony. This offer is valid during lunch or dinner buffet service until end of July.

Cucina introduces new additions to “The World’s Kitchen”

“Celebrating the world’s best flavours on a plate”—this remains the mantra of Marco Polo Ortigas Manila’s all-day restaurant, Cucina. Located on Level 24 and overlooking the marvelous Ortigas Center cityscape, the restaurant is not only home to a curated culinary spread featuring the world’s well-loved dishes. Cucina’s doors also remain open to guests who wish to dine on its selection of a la carte masterpieces, each bursting with flavour.

Led by Executive Chef Alisdair Bletcher, Cucina’s culinary experts have recently introduced the restaurant’s new featured dishes. These include the Thai Hot and Sour Beef Salad, and the Green Chicken Curry, which feature Asia’s zest and zing. Hearty European fair is also available for guests to enjoy as the new Mushroom, Truffle Cream, Thyme and Mozzarella pizza and the Spaghetti with Shrimp Bottarga and Dill are must-tries on one’s next visit.

“Pizzaiolo Extraordinaire” on showcase for La Vida Italia


As part of the Hotel’s celebration of its 5th Anniversary, Marco Polo Ortigas Manila presents the Philippine debut of premiere pizza acrobat, Chef Pasqualino Barbasso, who performs at the hotel until 5 September 2019.

Chef Pasqualino hails from Palermo in Sicily, where he developed his skills as a pizzaiolo as part of his family’s tradition. He is a two-time World Champion of Pizza Acrobatics, and recently completed tours showcasing his talent at the Marco Polo Hongkong, Niccolo Chongqing and Niccolo Changsha. With over 25 years of pizza-making experience, Chef Pasqualino heads a pizza school in Italy, where he champions the art and intricacies of making this beloved culinary staple.
