The Matcha & Hojicha Collective Brings a Weekend of Sips and Finds to Eastwood City

Sip, snack, and shop as The Modern Market brings tea drinks, pastries, flowers, scents, accessories, and café finds to Eastwood Central Plaza.

Matcha lovers have a new weekend stop to look forward to as The Matcha & Hojicha Collective makes its way to Eastwood Central Plaza from June 19 to 21, 2026.

Presented by Megaworld Lifestyle Malls in collaboration with The Modern Market, the Eastwood City stop brings together matcha and hojicha merchants from different parts of Metro Manila for a weekend showcase of creative drinks, café-style bites, pastries, and lifestyle finds.

Guests can expect more than the usual cup of matcha. The festival highlights playful and inventive tea creations, including flavors inspired by biko, mango manchego, banana pudding, and other café favorites. For those who prefer something warmer and more mellow, hojicha offers a roasted, earthy alternative with a smooth, comforting finish.

The lineup includes Block 6 Cafe, Cali Matcha, Days Off Space, Do Güd Cafe, Jamie’s Matcha, Klub Kame, No Doze, and Nuki Nuki, each bringing its own take on the growing matcha and hojicha scene. Beyond food and drinks, visitors can also browse through accessories, scents, flowers, and other lifestyle pieces that add to experience.

The Matcha & Hojicha Collective reflects how Japanese tea is being reimagined for today’s consumers. Matcha continues to evolve beyond traditional preparation into lattes and desserts, while hojicha is gaining traction in specialty drinks for its comforting, roasted character. Together, they show how heritage teas are finding new relevance in contemporary café culture.

The Eastwood City run will be open from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM on Friday and 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free.
