Auspicious Festivities to Celebrate The Year of the Wood Snake at City of Dreams Manila

City of Dreams Manila commences its Year of the Wood Snake festivities with auspicious and vibrant Lunar New Year rituals; and dining offers that symbolize prosperity and good fortune at premium restaurants Crystal Dragon, Nobu Manila, and contemporary dining outlet Red Ginger.

Spectacular Chinese New Year Ceremony

To augur good fortune for the community and to highlight an eye-dotting ceremony on January 29, revelers will witness a spectacular lion and 70-ft long dragon dance performances in majestic Chinese New Year tradition performed by skilled artists from Ling Nam Athletic Association in front of the main casino entrance at 5 pm. At the main casino lobby, an imposing installation of this year’s intriguing Chinese zodiac, resplendent in sapphire hues in celebration also of the luxury resort’s tenth year anniversary, is on display.

Gastronomic Treats to Indulge in this August at City of Dreams Manila

 


Expertly cooked to perfection, Nobu Manila’s Wagyu Striploin with aka (red) miso risotto, snap peas and soy-mirin reduction is exquisitely delicious.

    City of Dreams Manila’s signature restaurants highlight seasonal specialties this August, enticing food aficionados to indulge in cuisines consisting of new-style Japanese, Malaysian, Cantonese, and other regional Chinese specialties.

    Nobu Manila

    The Manila outpost of the globally renowned restaurant of celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa keeps dinner experiences distinct and exciting as its Omakase tasting menu evolves quarterly, inviting diners to delve deeper into the world of Nobu. From now until September, a seven-course dinner menu begins with a chef’s choice of zensai (appetizer), followed by the first course of Ika (squid) with capsicum jelly caviar and crispy onion. Salmon with calamansi salsa and crispy shitake mushrooms, and a seasonal selection of Assorted Sushi served together with Shrimp Ball Soup come after. A serving of White Fish Tataki Salad with shaved root vegetables and drizzled with garlic sesame vinegar further entices the palate before the fifth and sixth course of Pan-seared Sea Bass with charred pechay, gin-an ginger sauce and shitake mushrooms, and Wagyu Striploin with aka (red) miso risotto, snap peas and soy-mirin reduction. The last course of Vanilla Cheesecake Mousse with mango gelee, almond dacquoise, kinako (roasted soybean) tuile, and mixed berry sorbet provides a sweet finish to the meal.

    Delightful Season Menus this July at City of Dreams Manila


    City of Dreams Manila highlights tempting New-Style Japanese, Filipino, and Southeast Asian seasonal menus to indulge in beginning this July.

    Nobu Manila

    The restaurant’s seasonal menu lets diners delve deeper into the signature Nobu-style experience popularized by celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa that is well loved by A-list international celebrities, with an expertly curated eight-course Japanese-Peruvian menu. Preceded by the customary zensai (chef’s choice of appetizer), the first course of Crispy Salmon with teriyaki aioli is followed by an assortment of sushi. The tasting menu continues with Ama Abi (sweet shrimp) and Engawa (fluke fin)  with cucumber, red onions, tomato salsa, spicy yuzu dressing and soy salt; Hokkigai (surf clam) Salad Roll with carrot Karashi Su Miso (KSM – tart miso mustard sauce) dressing, honey lemon and fried shitake mushroom; Pan-seared Seabass with edamame miso puree and confit vegetables; Australian Lamb Chop with rosemary miso, roasted seasonal vegetables and potato korokke (croquette); and Asari Clam Soup with wakame (seaweed), carrots, enoki mushroom, sansho pepper and layu oil (Japanese chili oil). Sesame Panna Cotta with maple toffee crisps, mango passion fruit sorbet, and green tea crumble provides a sweet conclusion to the meal.

    Nobu Manila 

    The perfect romantic date night on Valentine’s Day is offered at Nobu Manila, where couples can opt to dine al fresco in the restaurant’s floating water cabanas charmingly surrounded by a lush garden. Nobu Manila’s five-course Valentine’s Omakase showcasing Nobu’s world-renowned Japanese-Peruvian fusion artistry highlights the amorous dinner affair. 

    The set menu thoughtfully comes with a complimentary glass of champagne and consists of: Nobu Canapé Selection of oyster with dried miso, oyster in phyllo with sesame aioli, yellowtail with Maui salsa, and spicy tuna with crispy rice; a trio of Nobu Sushi Cups composed of a seasonal selection of toro, uni and Wagyu; Sea Bass Tempura with Inaniwa noodles and uni corn sauce; Sous Vide Australian Tenderloin with truffle butter crust and balsamic reduction; and for dessert, Strawberry yogurt jello treat with fresh strawberries, strawberry sauce and chocolate tuile. The Valentine Omakase is at P10, 000 nett for two persons.

    City of Dreams Manila welcomes The Year of the Earth Pig with auspicious Chinese New Year Specialties and Activities


    City of Dreams Manila ushers in the bountiful Year of the Earth Pig with menu specialties from Crystal Dragon and Red Ginger restaurant; and auspicious line up of activities in front of Café Society at The Shops at the Boulevard.

    Crystal Dragon

    From January 25 to February 19, Crystal Dragon is offering specialty menus available for lunch at 12 PM to 3 PM and dinner from 6 PM to 11 PM.

    The premium Chinese restaurant highlights symbolic and premium renditions of the traditional “Yu Sheng” salad with a fruity twist: the Prosperity Abalone Yu Sheng with Fruit Salad available in medium (Php 1,350++) and large (Php 2,700++) servings; and the Shredded Roasted Duck with Fresh Fruit Salad with dressing in medium (Php 1,280++) and large (Php 2,380++). The medium serving is good for four to five persons; while the large is good for eight to ten persons.
