Moms deserve a top-notch dining experience, and City of Dreams Manila’s award-winning restaurant recognized for its fine Cantonese and regional Chinese specialties impresses with Mother’s Day exclusive ala carte dishes available until May 12 for lunch and dinner. These include Braised Bird’s Nest in golden broth with Jinhua ham and dry scallop; Squirrel Sea Grouper Fish with fragrant spicy sauce; Crispy Chicken with stuffed prawn mousse and sesame seeds; Aromatic Braised Lobster Trails in trio of onions and Chinese thread noodles; and Sweetened Coconut Red Bean soup with ube dumpling for dessert.

On their special day on May 12, moms who will dine at Crystal Dragon will receive a complimentary sweet surprise.

Certain to win mom’s heart are the exquisite Cantonese and regional Chinese specialties at Crystal Dragon. The restaurant presents a special Mother’s Day ala carte menu available for lunch and dinner from May 1 to 10, which consists of: Double-boiled Chicken Soup with Baby Abalone and Himematsutake Mushroom, and dishes to share with the family, such as Wok-fried Diced Squid and Shrimp in Crispy Cup with Conpoy (dried scallop) and celery; Wok-fried Boston Lobster with Pineapple and Lemon Sauce; Honey-glazed Silver Pompano Fillet with Zhenjiang Black Vinegar; and Stir-fried Glass Noodles with Shredded Beef. 

Other must-try options are the restaurant’s gracious dim sum selection for lunch and its extensive regular lunch and dinner a la carte menu, which offer appetizers to barbecue specialties, soups, a selection of vegetable, seafood, pork, chicken and lamb dishes, hearty rice and noodle items, and a choice of signature desserts.

On their special day on May 8, moms get a sweet surprise at the end of the meal.

The perfect romantic date night on Valentine’s Day is offered at Nobu Manila, where couples can opt to dine al fresco in the restaurant’s floating water cabanas charmingly surrounded by a lush garden. Nobu Manila’s five-course Valentine’s Omakase showcasing Nobu’s world-renowned Japanese-Peruvian fusion artistry highlights the amorous dinner affair. 

The set menu thoughtfully comes with a complimentary glass of champagne and consists of: Nobu Canapé Selection of oyster with dried miso, oyster in phyllo with sesame aioli, yellowtail with Maui salsa, and spicy tuna with crispy rice; a trio of Nobu Sushi Cups composed of a seasonal selection of toro, uni and Wagyu; Sea Bass Tempura with Inaniwa noodles and uni corn sauce; Sous Vide Australian Tenderloin with truffle butter crust and balsamic reduction; and for dessert, Strawberry yogurt jello treat with fresh strawberries, strawberry sauce and chocolate tuile. The Valentine Omakase is at P10, 000 nett for two persons.

Alluring Dinner Awaits Guests as Nobu Manila Reopens

Along with its three hotels, City of Dreams Manila has reopened its signature restaurants at 50% capacity, following government guidelines. The latest to reopen is Nobu Manila, which opens only for dinner, on Wednesday to Sunday from 5 p.m., poised to attract both date nights and intimate dinners among family and friends. 

In the eponymous restaurant of world-renowned celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa, who is credited for creating Japanese-Peruvian fusion artistry, avid followers will again enjoy Nobu’s signature dishes such as Black Cod Miso, New Style Sashimi, Rock Shrimp Tempura, Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeño, and Beef Tobanyaki, among other highly-favored classics.
