The Fruity Flavors Of Manila, Cebu, And Davao at Marco Polo Hotels

Manila, Cebu, and Davao are bringing in a sweet and fruity array of dishes as Marco Polo Hotels in the Philippines tie up to give you a taste of the three largest islands in the country with their signature fruit-based set menu’s.

Discover a different kind of fusion featuring dishes that are Filipinos’ favorites with Marco Polo Ortigas, Manila’s Piña Mania. Using one of the most refreshing fruit in a tropical country like the Philippines, the pineapple brings in its sweet taste for a set menu that showcases its versatility.

Combining the freshest ingredients from the ocean and land is the appetizer Grilled Tiger Prawns with Pineapple-Mango Salad and Tamarind Vinaigrette Dressing.  A Filipino favorite, Crispy Pata, is having a different twist―stuffed with foie gras and topped with Pineapple salsa. Pineapple Tamale is a confectionary masterpiece with its pastry  crust filled with flavorful pineapple filling, and mango custard and minted coconut jelly on the side; a perfect finish to a meal.

The national fruit and everyone’s favorite, mango, will be taking the spotlight only this month as Cucina brings in Marco Polo Plaza Cebu’s signature set menu, Mango Bango. This sweet set menu adds a tropical twist to your classic favorites by infusing the flavors of the delicious mango. These dishes are made by taking the sweetness of Cebu’s signature fruit and delicately mixing it with fresh local ingredients. Enjoy every bite and savor the burst of flavors in your mouth with the three featured dishes for the month – Pasta Ravioli with Crabmeat and Mango, Mango Surf and Turf and Cheesecake and Mango Jam Crème Brulee.

Feast in the flavors of unique pomelo goodness paired with dishes which best represent the bounties of the South with Marco Polo Davao’s Oh! Pomelo. Start your gastronomic journey as Davao brings its unique flavor with Ceviche of Prawn with Grilled Calamari and Pomelo. A distinct taste for the main dish with Slow Baked Salmon Fillet with Pomelo.
