Ippudo 一風堂 is opening in Manila, Mark you calendars September 10, 2014 

After such a long wait, and as excitement builds up, Ippudo of Fukuoka is finally opening their first Philippines store in SM Megamall's Fashion Mall this September.

Ramen fanatics, here they are finally!  Ippudo is coming to Manila.  I first heard of Ippudo from friends who travel often to Japan, and have heard lots of rave reviews.  Ippudo has branches in the USA, Singapore, Hong Kong and of course in Japan, and lucky us we are next it line.

Ippudo, founded by Shigemi Kawahara, named Ramen King after winning three consecutive first places on a nationwide competition in Japan, first set-up in Fukuoka, then expanded to 70 stores in Japan

Finally we get to have our own queue, haha yup expect the long lines, I'm so happy as we need not go elsewhere to experience one of the best ramens the world has to offer.

Set your sights on Akamaru, Karakamen, Oroshi Ponzu Gyoza, Pork Buns and Shiomaru, these best sellers will surely leave you in awe.

Well, actually I have set my expectations on Ippudo quite high, as my friend was all praises when he tasted it in Japan, I have not been to Japan so I'm really excited, and all hyped up to have a taste of Ippudo, taste you very very soon Ippudo!

They say, Ippudo may be the best among the rest, we will find out really soon!  So enthralled that I'll be one of a few to try out Ippudo before they open to the public.  Will share to you guys my ramen experience here at The Food Alphabet.
