Sedap Indonesia : Balinese Delights
at Market Cafe

A few years ago, I was very lucky to be able to visit Bali, Indonesia with a contest  that I won with Novotel.  I was so happy to have been able to visit the so called "Island of the Gods".  And apart from the heavenly views I was able to feast my eyes on, so was a feast of great tasting delicacies that was truly Balinese.

I am so loving their Nasi Goreng, I even brought home some instant Nasi Goreng packs to Manila, so that I can enjoy even if I'm back in Manila.

In celebration of Balinese Delights here in Manila, the Market Café of Hyatt Hotel and Casino brings to us the best of Bali with Sedap Indonesia : Balinese Delights!

Hyatt Regency Hotel & Casino Manila will be home to flavourful culinary traditions from the volcanic island of Bali, Indonesia, in a ten-day food festival at Market Café from 30 August to 8 September.

Get to experience a gastronomical journey to Bali through the culinary masterpieces of Chef Ni Made Sadnyani and Chef Kompyang Wikanta from Grand Hyatt Bali, as they prepare authentic Balinese fare derived from Indonesian, Chinese and Indian cuisine influences.  A delectable range of broth-soaked noodles, fiery curries, banana-wrapped fish to vegetable salads with sweet peanut dressing will be featured in the selection.

Dig in and immerse yourselves with their Grilled Sate Selections, choose from beef, chicken, lamb, pork, prawn, seafood and squid.

Don't forget to dip in their peanut sauce, which I am totally in love with.  I could spoonfuls of the sauce, hehe if there was no one else dining, but we are civilized when it comes to food right?  Not the usual me would you believe?

Again, Babi Guling, the dish the world has known all over, quite similar to our lechon de leche, but with a lot more spices, which makes this the dish you should not miss, even if you have high blood pressure do have some, bad bad me.

Balinese desserts come alive, with most of their dessert choices, somewhat similar with what the Philippines have.  Using lots of sticky rice, gata (coconut milk), and niyog (coconut), combining colors and flavors to satisfy the sweet tooth in us.

I especially loved their Bubur Injin, Agar Agar and Pisang Goreng

Market Cafe welcomes you, just look at all those welcoming smiles, no wonder the place was packed that night we came.
