Diamond Hotel Philippines gives us a grand Filipino Food Festival this May in Corniche.  Renowned celebrity Chef Sau Del Rosario of Villa Cafe, brings to Diamond Hotel the genuine flavors of Pampanga at the buffet from May 10 to 19, 2012.

Get to taste Chef Sau's specialties, available for lunch and dinner buffet infused with local dishes from Pampanga.  Feast your palates on Lamb Chops Ratatouille in Kaldereta sauce, US Beef Rib-eye and Portobello Confits in Bistek Sauce; Gule Marangle (Pinakbet with Tuyo Flakes); Begukan (Binangoongan Pampanga style) with Crispy Pork; and Crispy Pata Kare-Kare with vegetables and Bagoong.


Lemongrass Escargot with Puff Pastry, Camaru and Vegetable springrolls, Lumpiang sariwa rolls are just some of the appetizing treats specially made by Chef Sau, to whet your appetite with that Capampangan flavor.


Aligue fried rice, complemented by green mango strips, makes it more enticing, with a mix of salt and sour tastes makes it a perfect match to Ox-Tongue Cream of Mushrooms and Corn (Lengua)

This just made the day for me.  Combine 2 of the best ever Filipino dishes and what do you get, Crispy Pata Kare-kare with vegetables paired with bagoong. Crispy pata skin, full and tender meat, matched with peanut sauce.  If eating this is sinful, I'll be happy dying a sinner.


Skip the diet, have your fill of baby lechon with stuff curried rice (Biringhe).  Bring it on!
