Getting ready for the holidays with Hunt's!


Be everyone’s favorite cook with Hunt’s Kitchen Superstar recipes

The "Ber" months are here!  And we are packing up a feast, as always "Families come first" that is always the case in our "angkan", we prepare lots and lots of food for our pre-Noche Buena dinner and of course the Noche Buena itself.  And to celebrate this season of happiness let's whip up mouth-watering dishes such as Baked Mussels, Tomato Chicken Curry, and Crispy Fish with Tomato Pesto in Fusilli Pasta, made more special and heartwarming with Hunt’s Tomato sauce.

Made from all-natural, vine-ripened tomatoes, Hunt’s Tomato and Spaghetti sauces are definitely the perfect ingredients to boost everyone’s appetite and keep them wanting more of your Hunt’s Kitchen Superstar concoctions.


So let me share to you a recipe worthy of your Noche Buena feasts!  A classic dish with a twist, you will surely fall in love with it.

  VIGAN LONGGANISA LASAGNA

This superstar lasagna brings the historic feel of Vigan through its famous longganisa, made tastier with Hunt’s.

Ingredients:

12pcs lasagna sheets (instant)
½Kg Vigan longganisa
30g white onion, chopped
30g garlic, chopped
50g butter
1pack Hunt’s Spaghetti Sauce Basil & Cheese 1Kg
250mL all purpose cream
50g basil, chopped
½kg quickmelt cheese, grated
30ml olive oil

Procedure:

1.     Cook lasagna sheets according to package instructions. Set aside.

2.     Remove longganisa meat from its casing and sauté in oil. Set aside.

3.     Sauté onion and garlic in butter. Add Hunt’s Spaghetti Sauce Basil & Cheese and simmer.

4.     Layer 4 pcs of cooked lasagna sheets on a baking pan. Top with sauce, longganisa and cream.

5.     Put another layer of lasagna, longganisa and cream. Put the remaining lasagna on top, then pour over the remaining sauce

6.     Sprinkle cheese and basil on top and drizzle with olive oil. Bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes.
 

Makes 9 - 12 servings.
