We crave for Rodilla's Yema Cake

G4

Yema Cake by Rodillas
from Geicks!

A pleasant surprise arrived at my doorstep.  Packaged in red, tastefully designed with a peek window on what was gonna be one of the most delightful treats I have ever encountered.

G1

A full piece of Yema cake, wow!  Kinda reminds me of my childhood days where I used to dunk in quite a no. of Yema wrapped in celophane that you buy from vendors roving around the metro, well they have gone missing nowaways, but thankfully Geicks is here to satisfy our cravings.

G3

Ooohhh... just look at that!  Overflowing with Yema filling topped with grated cheese.  Just the thought of it makes me drool, now that its in my midst, I'm overly excited on slicing it up and down a big chunk of sponge cake

G2

Alas, heaven in a bite!  This creation was a marvel, if you love sweets then you have to love Rodilla's Yema cake.  Creamy, custard-like taste of the yema smothered and overflowing at the top, is perfect for the sponge cake. This will definitely be a crowd favorite when I serve this at our family get togethers.  I suggest you get one too, and experience the yema goodness of Rodilla's, perfect for everyday occasions.

I inquired their prices as well for your convenience.  They are priced at P299.00 for a half (8" x 6") and P549.00 for a whole (8" x 12").  You can reach them at 0927-6881591.  Or order online via their webiste http://geicks.weebly.com/

Queso de Bola Cheesecake by Irene

irene6

End the Year Right! And start the New Year with a Bang!!  That's how I like it, and this year is no different.  We light up fire crackers, spend the night with family, then do a countdown to the new year!  More often than not just watching the television light up with all the firecrackers at exactly 12 midnight, cause it can be quite toxic when you're out there if you know what I mean.  But there is one special addition to this year's "Medya Noche".

A good friend and fellow foodie Irene, gave us a minicake.  Not just any minicake, it's her signature Queso de Bola Cheesecake!  Do you love cheese?  Then you will fall head over heels with this one.  Can you just imagine, the best cheesecake mix made of only choice ingredients top it up with only the best queso de bola there is.  And what do you have? Cheese heaven!!

irene1

Just look at that lovely cheesecake... ahhh!!! Can't hold myself any longer!

irene2

I remember the first time I took a bite at Irene's Queso de Bola cheesecake, we were quite a bunch and as soon as I wanted second servings the whole cheesecake was gone, I was too slow.  Just look at how thick and creamy it looks, trust me it tastes so much better than any other cheesecake in town.  That's why it has always been my habit to first get my share of Irene's Queso de Bola cheesecake whenever The Food Club visits her place, before diving into other dishes... bad me hahaha.

Anyways, I am so glad to share to you guys that Irene is now selling her signature Queso de Bola Cheesecake.  All Cheese for the price of only P900 for a 9" cake, and P200 for her minicake (4.5") with a minimum of 4 minicakes per order.  It's always refreshing to have something new to partake this Medya Noche, and this year make it Irene's Queso de Bola Cheesecake.

Call Irene now at 0922-8303900.  Order now for Medya Noche and spread it over to the New Year.  Enjoy!

Summer is definitely here at California Berry

We were recently invited to a summer gathering with bloggers and friends, on a lazy hot Sunday afternoon.  But I'm happy why? because I'm going to cool off at California Berry!!  They have recently opened a new branch in SM Mezza in Sta. Mesa, just opposite SM City Sta. Mesa.  And it definitely is a treat!
When you think of California Berry, you only think of Yogurt right?  Good thing California Berry has stretched out their wings and offered their new pasta varieties -

Classic Spaghetti Bolognese P125 and Seafood Alfredo P145
the Cheesy Lasagna P145

All of their pasta selections were quite a treat, and yes pasta is heavy to the stomach, but my fellow bloggers daughter ate it all by herself, it shows how yummy it definitely is, but I was not able to taste their Pasta Carbonara, but it looked good, I will be back for that.

Also new on their menu is their nourishing Fresh Fruit blends, made only with the freshest fruits and yummy yogurt blended to a perfect mix of goodness. At only P95.00, it is definitely one treat you cannot resist.  With 5 flavorful blends to choose from:
  • Double Berry - strawberry, blueberry
  • BananaRama - kiwi, banana, mango
  • Mango Tango - mangoes, banana, peach
  • Flushot - strawberry, kiwi, orange
  • WhipItUp - your choice, your fruit, your blend, choose any 3 fruit

I got to taste Mango Tango and Double Berry, both were very fruity indeed. This is the healthy choice, fresh fruits with yogurt, you just cant go wrong with this.

Another treat California Berry is giving us this summer is and will definitely be a hit for all ages.

Presenting Ice Ice Baby P65.00 only!
Finely shaved ice with your choice of flavor, toppings and everything else you would like to have on it!! It tickles your taste buds and gives that delicious sensation, yes it is definitely summer!!

Even though it is summer time, it does not mean hot coffee is out.  Also featured in California Berry is not just any other coffee, but Organic Coffee.  Made with the finest grown organic coffee beans, you can be sure you're getting only nature's finest to your everyday coffee.

Sip on one now.
