Grand Hyatt Manila officially sparked the beginning of the yuletide season as it recently held its anticipated annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the hotel’s grand lobby.
This year’s theme, Dreaming of a Grand Christmas showcases the hotel’s towering 24-foot Christmas tree, decorated in glittering silver and shades of teal.

ceremony at the hotel’s 24th floor Sky lobby last Saturday, November
5, 2022. The six-time Forbes Travel Guide Five Star Award Winner marked the
long-awaited beginning of a wonderful yuletide season with this year’s theme,
“Starry Nights”.
General Manager Colin Healy led the ceremonial affair with special guest Pasig City Vice Mayor, Robert “Dodot” Jaworski Jr., and Department of Tourism’s Regional Director for NCR, Ms. Sharlene Batin. Some of the hotel’s guests, clients, and partners were also in attendance for the joyous event. “We are delighted to celebrate the value of being with colleagues and loved ones after 2 years of virtual meet-ups brought about by the pandemic. This year’s theme “Starry Nights” symbolizes how we at The Marco Polo, want to bring back the true magic and warmth of Christmastime with the powerful strength and shining starry light of hope—even during dark times.” said Mr. Colin Healy.
The yuletide season has officially begun at Diamond Hotel Philippines with the recent Christmas Tree Lighting attended by valued clients, guests and media friends.
Special guests who lit the tree were (from left): Santa Claus; Acting Deputy Undersecretary Hans Mohaimin Siriban, Bilateral Relations and ASEAN Affairs of the Department of Foreign Affairs; Atty. Jemimah Nissi M. Tiambeng, Corporate Secretary of the Tourism Promotions Board; Ms. Vanessa Ledesma Suatengco, General Manager of Diamond Hotel; Ms Sharlene Zabala-Batin, Regional Director of the Department of Tourism-NCR Regional Office; and Assistant Secretary for the Office of American Affairs Jose Victor V. Chan-Gonzaga of the Department of Foreign Affairs. The lighting was also graced by the children from Malate Catholic School.
