'Cue Modern Barbecue at Bonifacio High


'Cue Modern Barbecue, a new addition to the myriad of restaurants popping up along Bonifacio High Street is making heads turn with their modern classic designs and out of the ordinary culinary treats.

Rootbeer float and flavored popcorn, never tasted so good.  Can't remember when I last had my fix of popcorn and yeah... I love float!


Great thing about restaurants today, they tend to be daring, creative and yet still capturing that taste that people keep coming back for more, something new at 'Cue is Grapes and ginger shake (P135).  Sweet tasting grapes coupled with ginger gave a sweet and refreshing taste, it may not be the choice of most but it may be the favorite of some.  And I like the mini jar they used for their shakes.


For appetizers, enjoy salads such as The 'Cue Caesar Salad bowl (P205 for a half order and P345 for a whole order) and the Crunchy Baby Squid (P265) light battered, deep fried crunchy baby squid with mayo dip.


But if you'd like to be adventurous, then try the Bone Marrow and Steak tacos (P485), now becoming a favorite amongst 'Cue's long list of returning guests.  Indulge yourself in sweet tasting chunks of steak, envelope them in soft tortilla then spread over a dash of bone marrow, couple it up with roasted corn salsa.  There you have it, one of the most sinful appetizers you will ever have in your life, it's worth it I mean you only live once right?


The 'Cue Burger (P420), a 6 oz. house-blend all-beef patty, mozzarella and smoked provolone, chorizo slices, arugula, a hint of BBQ sauce, a salp of red wine topped with butter grilled bun.  A meal itself, we had it sliced into four yet even had a hard time finishing it, really a mouthful.


One of 'Cue's special dishes is Beef Belly (P695), 250gms. of dark ale-braised, slightly-charred, mustard-crusted with roasted onions paired with Cue's Chili Monggo.   I loved this pairing, it can give you that very fulfilling fill on your tummy, if you know what I mean.  But a bite into the soft, chewy, tasteful beef belly and you'll definitely forget about your diet.


Chicken Chipotle Chorizo Pot Pie (P325), by far one of my favorite dishes in 'Cue.  Served hot and fresh.  Tear a tip of the fresh rolled crust over chicken pot pie with bourbon cream, cream onions and celery, makes every spoonful a delight for the senses.


Take a bite with their wide choices of desserts, The Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake (P195), the sight of this sweet concoction reminds me of my childhood days, with vanilla ice cream on top dripping over chocolate syrup goodness, sweet heaven indeed.  Be mesmerized as well with their Caramel Pecan Cheesecake (P235), not just your ordinary cheesecake


And with a happy ending, comes a cup of Cafe Americano (P110), to perk things up a little more and chat the night away with great friends.
