Mango Tree Bistro - a fusion of Thai flavors

Modern fun Thai dining at Mango Tree Bistro

It's my second time to dine at this classy fine dining bistro right smack where it happens in Greenbelt 5, Makati.  Their first branch being at Trinoma Mall was also a big hit among their patrons and has been getting rave reviews from food critics and bloggers alike.  They must be doing something right! I mean delicious! so to say.

 

They have an interesting take on their foods, and they have a diverse menu, surely you will enjoy the choices that Mango Tree Bistro has to offer.  As we may all know, Thai food generally has a spicy and sweet base, but what's good about this is that, you have the option to add or lessen the spiciness of the food.  So that you could still enjoy the goodness of Thai food without too much spice, as other would prefer.

Som Thum Thai, P 250

Spicy green papaya salad with dry roasted shrimp, balanced taste of spice and sourness makes a good salad appetizer to open your taste buds to a delightful meal ahead

One of my favorites, Thod Mun Goong,  P 300

Deep fried shrimp cakes served with sweet chili dipping sauce, honestly, I could eat this all day.  May it be appetizer, snack, lunch, dinner or whenever.  I love the crispness of the shrimp cakes, just how I liked it, paired well with the sweet chili, will definitely be one of my must orders everytime I visit Mango Tree Bistro

Gai Satay, P 250

On the grill, Chicken Satay served with peanut dipping sauce,  I miss the ones that I had in Thailand, good thing Mango Tree Bistro brought it here...

Pad Thai Jay, P250

Not as spicy as you would expect, sweet and nutty, just loved it.  Even people with low tolerance on spiciness would be able to take this.  This comes highly recommended.

Tom Yum Goong Soup, P 280 

Thailand's world known soup, captured the hearts of Filipinos all over.  This has been one of the favorites of Mango Tree Bistro patrons.  With big prawns and seafood bites, spicy and sour mixes will surely hold your taste buds captive, and you would be longing for more.

Gai Thai Krai Yang, P 320

Grilled chicken in lemongrass, hands down one of the best grilled boneless chicken I have ever tasted in my life. So full of flavor, and the lemongrass tickled your sense of scent and taste.

Panang Nua, P380

Panang style red curry with beef and kaffir lime leaves, good with rice

Talay Prik Thai Dum, P350

Fresh catch from the sea, stir fried in black pepper sauce, brings out the flavor in every fillet of fish, every prawn, and the squid was tender as well

Grapow Moo, P280

 Stir fried pork with garlic, fresh hot basil and red chilies, although a little spicy I still managed to take a few bites... spicy food lovers will fall for this

How about refreshment? Some Thai Ice tea?  I loved this, so did Joan, mixed with milk, stir to a blend just like milk tea, is just too yummy to resist

They also serve cocktails such as this Mango Tree Cosmopolitan.

Khao Niew Mamuang

This dessert was kinda special, apart from the sweet mangoes slices with powdered sugar, the sticky Jasmine rice with coconut cream sauce used was imported from the markets of Thailand, to match the consistency that Mango Tree Bistro's chef wanted, somewhat like "suman" but I liked this more.

Head on to Mango Tree Bistro and enjoy a night of good music, good company, and of course good food.
