of Father’s Day, City of Dreams Manila unwraps special dining and staycation
offerings to make dads feel like a king on their special day on June 15 and even
after.
Crystal Dragon
At City of
Dreams Manila’s award-winning Chinese restaurant, fathers are feted with a
special menu available from lunch onwards on June 9 to 15. The Father’s Day exclusive consists
of a la carte choices that include: a tasting platter of a dim sum trio:
Deep-fried Crispy 25-head Abalone Charcoal Puff, Steamed Cod Fish Dumpling with
fresh lemon peel, and Toasted Duck Meat Tart in light pepper sauce. Also on the
special menu are dishes that will appeal to the honorees’ palates: Double-boiled Sparerib Soup with agaricus
mushroom, dry scallop and black maca; Burning Aromatic “San Bei” Tiger Prawns
with sweet basil; Slow Poached Yellow Skin Chicken in supreme stock; and Boston
Lobster with Jasmine rice, edamame and crispy puff rice in rich seafood broth.
For dessert, the Crystal Dragon offers Monkey Head Mushroom Puff Pastry with
ananas filling, paired with coconut rum-infused blended pineapple served on
ice.
Crystal Dragon is open daily from 12 noon to 11 pm.
Nobu Manila
On Father’s Day, indulge dad with a brunch at the Manila outpost of the globally renowned Nobu restaurant where acclaimed signature dishes of celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa take centerstage in a hefty buffet spread.
Popular Nobu classics such as the Nobu Signature Sashimi Trio of Tuna Matsuhisa, Yellowtail Jalapeno, Salmon Karashi Su Miso; Black Cod in butter lettuce, and chef’s selection of premium sushi cups and nigiri are the highlights, along with the featured carvings of the day: Roasted Whole Wagyu Brisket and Crispy Pork Belly. Other choices not to be missed are the Nobu-style Sisig, Uni Palabok Yakiudon, Roasted Pork Ribs with sweet soy anticucho, and an array of grilled meats and vegetables cooked a la minute at the robatayaki station.
At the sushi bar, master chefs skillfully cut up a whole tuna for sashimi, which is offered alongside Gallagher oysters, blue crabs, shrimps, and mussels served with Nobu custom sauces at the dedicated chilled seafood bar. Salads, soup, noodles, and a wide selection of desserts that include a white chocolate fountain complete the brunch spread.
The Nobu Father’s Day brunch is available from 11:30 am to 3 pm, and price starts at P4, 388 net per adult for the Regular package, inclusive of non-alcoholic beverages and mocktails. Other packages that include alcoholic and premium beverages are also available. Children ages 6 to 12 years old enjoy half price, and five years and below dine for free when accompanied by an adult availing of the Nobu brunch.
Another excellent choice to spoil dad is on a dinner date with a seven-course seasonal Omakase, available until June 30. At P8,871.43 net per person, Nobu’s tasting menu entices with a chef’s choice of appetizer followed by: Ama Ebi (sweet shrimp) with mango yuzu and caviar; Hamachi (yellowtail tuna) with red anticucho sauce and crispy kelp; Chuko Inaniwa Noodles with tsuma (thinly sliced) vegetables and cold broth; Sea Bass with wasabi lime miso and seasonal vegetables; Wagyu Beef with kabocha (Japanese pumpkin) puree, balsamic teriyaki caviar, shiso tomato, shimeji mushrooms and shishito peppers. The last course, Matcha Adzuki Parfait, a medley of sweet red beans, green tea crunch, mochi pearls, green tea jelly, cornflakes, green tea ice cream and whipped cream provides a sweet conclusion to the meal.
Staycation at Nüwa Manila, Nobu Hotel Manila and Hyatt Regency Manila
