Manila's Signature Dishes : Outback Steakhouse

It is not always we get to savor good food, but in this fast growing culinary city that is Manila, making good and delicious food is always a journey every restaurateur has to partake to be amongst the best in the world.  And so comes Manila's Signature Dishes to give our beloved chefs their much awaited chance to showcase to the world their creations and made known to the world why Philippine chefs are known worldwide.

Here we are at Outback Steakhouse, taking part in Manila's Signature Dishes, even though it is a foreign brand company, all chefs are Filipino and their creations made with Filipino touch and class.  The setting of Outback is very laid back and you would feel very relaxed in their set up, making you feel just like home.

 A good appetizer to start with, Crispy Calamari Salad, crispy is definitely the word to describe it. Crispy Calamari drizzled with garlic aioli dressing and served over a mix of fresh romaine lettuce, cabbage, carrots, cucumbers and tomatoes, topped with sliced olives, parsley and parmesan shreds, gave it just the right taste.
 Our main entree for the night Beef Tenderloin Steak, Beef tenderloin with mustard demiglace and bearnaise, 6 oz. of pure imported beef medallion, seasoned and seared to perfection, served on a bed of mustard demiglace and top with bearnaise sauce, served with a side of oven roasted seasonal vegetables and pesto garlic mashed potatoes topped with parmesan shreds and thyme.  This I say must be one of the most mouth watering steaks that I have ever had.  This meat was so tender, and the juices mixed with the bearnaise sauce made it more desirable, definitely will be back for more of this.
