Manila welcomes the newest ramen chain to arrive in the Philippines straight from Japan

Ohayou! Ramen Kagetsu Arashi

Let's get to know Ramen Kagetsu Arashi a little better.  Ramen Kagetsu Arashi opened their first store in Japan in 1992, and has blossomed to more than 250 branches worldwide.  Known for their Garlic Tonkotsu broth, Ramen Kagetsu Arashi has captured the hearts of many ramen lovers and continues to strive to better themselves as one of the best ramen places in Japan.

As we open our senses to experience what Ramen Kagetsu Arashi has to offer, this very prominent small container pot caught my attention and from the looks of it (I don't understand Japanese hihi) it's fiery red hot!  More on this as we go along.

But first, let's see if Ramen Kagetsu Arashi has got what it takes to take on the ramen craze in Manila!

Arashi Genkotsu Ramen (P295)

Ramen Kagetsu Arashi's signature ramen and a top favorite in Japan, concocted with their signature Garlic Tonkotsu soup broth is one tough ramen to match.  Oozing with garlic flavor, it boasts of a rich flavored soup broth, simmered in pork marrow with lots of garlic to make that authentic Garlic Tonkotsu soup Kagetsu Arashi has came to be known for.

No doubt Kagetsu Arashi's ramen will soon make waves to the many ramen lovers in Manila, I like that their noodles are firm to the bite, not overly cooked to make it saggy, and just the right thickness.

I also enjoyed the Char Siew slices, just cut thick enough for you to taste and well, to crave for.  I would like to comment on the egg though, which I know most ramen lovers would want their eggs to be soft boiled, though I am not sure if they had that option for you to choose, so you would be getting a half of the hard boiled egg, but I do hope they do provide that option.

The Arashi Genkotsu Ramen is also available in Sio soup base (infused with sea salt) and also in Miso both at P295 per ramen bowl.

But if you're in the hots for something spicy, heat it up with Arashi Genkotsu Barikara Ramen, with your broth selection of Shoyu, Miso or Sio.  Enjoy the spicy soup broth from specially selected chili peppers mix from Japan, achieving the balance of spiciness and ramen goodness.

Craving for more Char Siew and order the Arashi Genkotsu Char Siew Ramen (P365) with five full strips of delicious flavorful Char Siew in your choice of broth.

Choose to add on toppings such as Hard Boiled eggs, flavored egg, Nori, Wakame, Corn, Spinach, Moyashi, Shaki Negi, Cabbage and more at only P50.00 per topping.

Now on to our mystery pot container, what this is basically called is "Tsubonira", Kagetsu Arashi's very own creation of chili and chive mix.

I love chives, it brings out the flavor in almost all on my favorite dishes, well in this case Kagetsu Arashi's ramen, try it put some on your ramen and you'd be pleasantly surprised, I won't dig into details, you just have to try to know... all I can say is, it will definitely liven up your day.

Also take a few taps of this so called Ramen pepper, pop it open and be mesmerized by the fragrant aroma of the pepper grounds, as it matches well with your ramen selection.

Kagetsu2

Ramen Kagetsu Arashi has already created around 120 varieties of ramen, serving different locations in Japan and matching the tastes of their loyal fans in Singapore and Taiwan, and now that thy're here in Manila they plan to create more ramen varieties specially crafted to satisfy the taste buds of Filipinos, looks we can expect more from them.

Apart from serving their signature ramen concoctions, they also have Tepan Itameshi Shoyu or Ninniku at P295.00 (choice of Shoyu Butter / Garlic Butter), Gyoza (P170), as well as other side dishes in Butameshi (P100) and Tori Karaage (P150).

Ramen Kagetsu Arashi opens their doors starting today Feb. 18, 2015 at the 2nd floor of Paseo Center in the heart of busy Makati.  The opening of Ramen Kagetsu Arashi is sure to liven things up in the ramen wars in Manila.  Authentic Japanese Ramen at a budget friendly price.

  1. Block Street Crypto Trader The means it works is pretty difficult to elucidate here, and an understanding of how blockchain and cryptocurrencies work is essential before even contemplating this route (you'll be able to scan my article "A temporary guide to blockchain... for normal people" here if interested). As such, the companies raising cash via this route are principally blockchain connected themselves, and also the investors piling in to the ICOs tend to possess a very high risk appetite.
