Bellissimo Bellevue - an Italian feast of flavors at The Bellevue Manila

I just love Italy, with their pizzas, pastas and panini, so much of their culinary treats that make them not just a tourist attraction but also a food haven.  Experience Italy at Cafe d' Asie, be closer to those sprawling wineries and quintessential cities of Italy with every bite at Cafe d' Asie's "I love Italy" Italian food fest.

Let me take you to experience why Joey of "Friends" love pizza, why the Michael Angelo of the TMNT craves for pizza, and why pasta is always served wherever you are in the world.

Experience a soulful gastronomic journey around Italy and discover the cultural flavors of its 20 regions, and let Bellevue's Italian chef titillate your taste buds with a live cooking station and mouth-watering buffet of specialties.

Summer Giveaway #3 - Crumpler! + Winners of Cocomo Beach wear

Summer Giveaway #3 - Crumpler!

It's a red hot scorching summer!  Everyone is packing, heading to the beach to get a tan, and enjoy great company with friends.  And even the airports are packed, and people are going to cooler places like Hong Kong or Korea, which I recently came from.  And with the recent rise in ticket fares, people are switching to budget airlines, to lower the costs of their travel needs.

But before we go further, let me announce the winners of our Summer Giveaway # 1 - Sorry for the much delayed announcement.  Without further delays the winners are:

Ms. Marie Mangaliman
Ms. Tara Cagadoc
 Ms. Lucinda Dominguez

Congrats to the winners!  Please wait for my email on
 how to claim your prizes!

Now back to our new giveaway, these low-cost airlines which are also promoting ultra-low fares and seat sales can be tempting and yet often misleading.  Of course to maximize these low, low fares, airlines have cut their meals on board, to pay-on-board meals.  And the most important of it all?  Baggage allowance.  While most airlines offer 15kg allowance included in your ticket, budget airlines bill you for their standard 15kg baggage allowance (which you may also upgrade for a price).

And with that 15kg limit, (yes they are very strict with that), we are limited to what we bring to our trip and what we bring home from our trip.  I always hear horror stories and customers complaining of exorbitant excess baggage charges.  So with that, let me give you a tip.  Start packing early and get the lightest, most durable luggage you can get.  Yes go check your luggage now, you'd be surprised that your full-sized luggage bag alone without anything is already about 8 kg.

Sariwon Korean Barbecue - authentic bulgogi is now in Manila

Sariwon6

Sariwon, Korea's authentic bulgogi
now in Manila

After my recent trip to Korea, coming back home to have a Korean treat is more than welcoming.  Tracing back the roots of Soriwon, Mrs. Bun-Im Koo, in the town of Soriwon in North Korea, concocted a unique broth recipe for Korean traditional beef barbecue or bulgogi to ease the afflictions of her diabetic husband.

What has been Mrs. Koo's signature flavor is now Korea's best-tasting beef barbecue.  Opening her first restaurant in 1938, and awarded "Best Korean Restaurant" by NBC Broadcasting Company in 2005 and "Best Korean Restaurant: by the Seoul Metropolitan Government in 2007, Sariwon's galbi (Korean barbecued beef short ribs) has also been cited by the NY Times as "the most tender and succulent in Seoul".

O Wow! Oishi!

O, Wow! An invitation got delivered to my doorstep!  And all I could say was O, Wow!
A large box 6 feet high was at my midst.

As the box says, Open up for a surprise!

O, Wow! A box full of my Oishi favorites, new favorites and more!
I remember the good old childhood days, where I munch on my favorite Oishi treats, such as the Oishi prawn crackers and Kirei flakes, ah a dream come true indeed.

Oishi, the name that has been a household name for fun snacks to people from all walks of life for more than three decades, gives a new approach on how Oishi has evolved through the years, and made us fall in love with their wide array of products with a new catchy campaign together with one of the country’s most promising TV personalities.

The Oishi ‘O, Wow!’ campaign is starting a joyful trend especially among the young and fun loving individuals. And what better way for Oishi to resonate this branding campaign than with the young and talented Elmo Magalona.

And with Elmo at the forefront of the ‘O, Wow!’ movement, more and more people will surely get into the Oishi bandwagon and experience a different kind of high with every pouch of high quality Oishi products.

This is only the beginning. Join us for one  big surprise on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 5:00 PM, Trinoma Activity Center.

Saint's Alp Teahouse at The Global City

saint12

I've recently stop by Bonifacio Global city and with the hot weather going, looked for a place to cool off and recharge.  Incidentally, I happen to notice a sign saying Saint Alp's Teahouse while I was driving along, so my curiosity has once again preceded me to take a look-see on what Saint's Alp has to offer.
