Manila's Signature dishes : Terraces at 5th

Through the busy streets of Makati, Manila's Signature dishes takes us to Terraces at 5th to savor Chef Cheryl Pineda's tasty creations.

First up, Pumpkin Veloute, honestly speaking I am not a fan of pumpkins, can you believe I actually don't like pinakbet, but I appreciate how this soup was made and how it tasted. Talk about being picky.

The Vegetable Fritata was made only of the freshest and choicest ingredients, you can see from the aged ham and the green veggies that much care has been given to such a wonderful appetizer. It is perfect with a glass of Cassilero del Diablo Merlog wine, it blended well with ham and gave it more flavor.
The main entree' for the set menu was Roast Angus Beef Belly in Mushroom Ragu Sauce, the Angus belly was one of the most delectable meals I have had in Manila's Signature Dishes Series, the flavor rich beef melts in your mouth as soon as it touches your taste buds, the mushroom ragu sauce was a perfect mix to the tasty Angus beef belly, it was a perfect catch.

Capping the night off, we were served honeyed Panna Cotta, with a side blend of coffee caramel mix, giving it a more unique taste to the already yummy Panna Cotta.

Manila's Signature Dishes : Pizza hut bistro

Manila's Signature Dishes

Pizza Hut Bistro's Lechon Pizza feast

Honestly speaking this particular feast is one my most anticipated one as you have seen above,
LECHON PIZZA FEAST! How could I resist.  We started the feast with their fabulous salad, just in case it is not obvious, this set is good for at least 3 persons.  The Olive Garden Salad was very tasteful with the black olives adding texture and substance to the already delicious salad.
The Seafood Supremo Salad is awesome, Pizza hut has gone a long way in making new pasta dishes even more delectable, remembering the good old days, there was only spaghetti on the menu and nothing else, now they serve more than 6 kinds of pasta combinations that make me crave even more for the pasta dishes.

And now the most awaited dish of the night, THE LECHON PIZZA.  At first, I was really skeptical on how this pizza would taste, as it struggled in my mind and how can you mix pizza with lechon? So I finally gave in and took a slice, and now I am a fan... I believe!  It was a most unexpected surprise.  The Lechon Pizza is delicious beyond words.  The crust is not so thin to be crispy, and not so thick to be like a Pan Pizza.  It had the right softness that made you appreciate the air dried lechon skins, and don't forget the pizza is infused with lechon meat pieces mixed with mozzarella cheese and their special lechon sauce. It was a breeze finishing the first slice and then I took another, Oh I'm in bliss,.  Try it now you will never regret it...
Blend it well a glass of Casillero del Diablo Merlot red wines.

Manila's Siganture Dishes : Bordeaux

Manila's Signature Dishes take us to

Bordeaux Premium French Wine Bar
First on the set meal, Gambas ala Rochelle, cooked in Bordeaux special sauce, this particular dish has a story behind it, as it started when a guest named aptly Rochelle, had requested for a gambas which was not available on the menu, yet due to her relentless requests, the chef finally gave in and made a Gambas concoction and named it after her. Thus Gambas ala Rochelle is now a part of the regular menu.  The shrimps were very fresh, you would know from the moment you give it a bite, tender and crisp just right.
Our main course of the evening Boeuf Bourguignon, it is a mix of carefully tenderized beef top round braised in demiglace red wine reduction sauce with mushroom over pasta.  It was a treat for the senses, as it had a great presentation and it tasted good as well.  The beef had all the juices intact that made it more flavorful.

For desert, it was sugar strips with vanilla ice cream with panna cotta, spice it up with a glass of
Casillero del Diablo Merlot red wines.

Manila's Signature Dishes : The Red Crab Cafe

Manila's Signature Dish series:
The Red Crab Cafe

A great find in the middle of busy Araneta Center, surfaces another of Manila's Signature Dish.  Gateway, Cubao is home to The Red Crab Cafe, an extraordinary restaurant.
Manila's Signature Dish set starts off with Chef's Salad, a mix of everything fresh with lettuce, black olives, croutons, egg slices, hints of cheese and their secret dressing, the salad was pleasantly good and was a great tummy tickler.

For our main course, Raymunds Salt and Pepper Crab, this dish is so delicious, it only took a few minutes for us to finish, the salt and pepper mix was oh so delicious. It may have took quite a while for the crab to be served, but all that anxiety was gone when we got to devour the crab specialty of the Red Crab Cafe.  The saltiness and flavor of the crab was a perfect mix, I have had many salt and pepper crabs, but this one is a must comeback list.
Aside from the usual desert of Panna Cotta, We were served this!!!
Choco cake with chocolate crispies with soft cake concoction topped with cherry, then flush it with Kahlua, it was one dessert I had really appreciated so much, Thanks to the Chef for this.

Manila Signature Dishes : Fish out of Water

Manila's Signature Dishes brings us to Fish Out of Water, in the glamorous rows of Greenbelt 5, Makati City, to savor their delicious seafood dishes, both to their regular clients and new patrons.

Cebuano Danggit Salad, a delicious mix of our famous danggit, carrots, fresh lettuce, seaweeds and their signature mustard dressing.  This dish may sound a little odd to you, mixing danggit to salad is a first for me and I would say for a lot of people, but as experience has taught me never judge by appearance.  And indeed, it was a delectable salad that I recommend everyone to try, you will be back for more... I assure you.
Thang Nang Crab, Our main course for the day.  Just look at that ohh so meaty crab, with those big delicious looking claws, I was in awe of this Vietnamese inspired dish, the aroma of the garlic and crabs got the attention of quite a lot of people passing as the smell was really very good, and I have not gone to the eating yet.  The crab meat was hot and very tender, tasty and so yummy.  The garlic scent and flavor went in so well I could stop myself from eating.  Then the pasta included was infused with so much crab juice it tasted so good.  It hinted a little spice which was just perfect.

Manila's Signature Dishes: Crustasia by The Red Crab

In the midst of the ocean, beneath the freshest catch of the seas, we find Crustasia, an out of this world under the sea dining experience.

Crispy Baby Squid, our appetizer for the day was a treat, the baby squid was fried to a crisp using a little sugar and syrup to make it stick to each other, I was like munching on Chicharon, but on the seafood side of things.  It is very tasty and full of flavor, now I know why this is one the best sellers here.

The main entree for Manila Signature Dishes with Crustasia is Singaporean Chili Crab.  I guess I don't have to go to Singapore to taste this wonderful catch from the seas, the crab was just spicy enough with scrambled egg mixed Singaporean stir fried sauce, I couldn't not resist this and got my apron to started munching on this, can't help but to sip the portions dry.

As for desert, Panna Cota with fresh mango slices on top to cap the night off and a complimentary glass of Casillero del Diablo brought to us by Unilever food solutions and exclusively available to BPI credit card holders.
